Harbor Substation is located near the Platinum Triangle and was built inside a building that blends with similar structures in the area. The facility improves the electric service reliability while providing additional power capacity to Central Anaheim. Due to the substation’s proximity to Disneyland Resort, special provisions were required for the final design to control noise and hide all substation equipment from the street and rooftop view. All incoming/outgoing electric lines to the substation were constructed underground to ensure the building remained aesthetically pleasing.
